Standing in the light, choosing yourself.
The feeling of loneliness made me look deeper. And I realized, I was not lonely, I was alone.
This realization was the start of a confronting journey through my own ‘Tree of Life’.
About breaking patterns, stopping the constant investment in everyone else, and finding the strength to finally choose myself.
It feels like standing on quicksand, yet standing in the light.
𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘
𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝘁𝘀
Alone this sounds scary,
but it is only the realization,
acceptance and implementation.
𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝘆
Once you realise it, you have to confront yourself
with details like who, why so late, that I realised it.
Why did I accept all of it?
𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹
Then accept that you are the one
to keep it all running,
that you are the one investing in friendship, sisterhood and family.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲
Only then can you start protecting yourself,
choosing how to have social contact and most of all how you want to proceed.
𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲
There starts the power of selflove,
of choosing you and living by your standards and wishes.
No more disappointments as you have no expectations.
𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 & 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁
It is beautiful yet feels like standing on quicksand, figuring out what you want, what you like.
Using your knowledge to heal yourself, pamper yourself in order to grow, glow and step into your light.
