Loving yourself means letting go in Marbella

Ciao Marbella! When loving yourself means letting go.

Summertime. The season of blinding sunshine, sparkling moments, and making memories that are supposed to outlive the heat.

It started beautifully. Love was blooming under the Mediterranean sun.

We made plans, dreamed about road trips along the coast, and enjoyed every single moment together. The world felt light, wrapped in the scent of saltwater and warm nights. We were building something, or at least, that was the illusion we both agreed on.

Then, you disappeared.

Two weeks of absolute silence. Outside, the summer kept moving at full speed, but inside the screen, everything froze. No warning, no slow fade. Just a vacuum where the plans used to be.

When you finally came back, you brought an avalanche of promises. Words that were meant to rewrite the silence. Heavy, hopeful sentences.

And then, before the promises could even land, you blocked me.

A digital wall raised in a fraction of a second.

In the past, a move like that would have started a storm. A cycle of searching for answers, trying to understand the psychology behind the disappearance, wondering what went wrong. But this time, the silence didn’t trigger anxiety. It brought absolute clarity.

This time, I just let you go.

Not because I don’t love you. Not because I don’t care about the moments we shared or the dreams we mapped out on napkins.

But because this time, I made the choice to love myself most.

I care for my own peace of mind far too much to keep waiting for someone who fluctuates between everything and nothing. No drama, no long paragraphs back, no tears. Just a quiet exit.

The sun is still shining, the champagne is still cold, but the passenger seat is empty. And that is exactly how it should be.

Ciao, Marbella.
